The bet365 Stadium has been officially recognised as one of the safest venues to watch football in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Website scams.info conducted a study across 106 stadiums in which they compared the average annual attendance of each venue with the average incidents of match-day crime reported within a 1km.

They then ranked each stadium based on crime incidence per 100 attendees and the home of the Potters came joint sixth based on 477 average annual incidents between 2011 and 2022 and an average annual attendance of 392,027.

Vice-Chairman Richard Smith said: “Fans of all ages deserve the right to follow their team in a safe and welcoming environment and we have made it our priority to ensure that the bet365 Stadium is just that.

“We are delighted that our efforts have been recognised by this report and we remain committed to ensuring that visitors to the bet365 Stadium feel safe and secure and want to come back.”

The Potters were paired in joint sixth with Derby County, whilst Brighton & Hove Albion claimed the number one spot in the survey.
