More than 70 business owners and leaders from across Staffordshire attended the Staffordshire Skills Summit to discuss the skills challenges that are facing local businesses.
Staffordshire Chambers was selected by the Secretary of State for Education to lead the development and delivery of the Local Skills Improvement Plan for Stoke-On-Trent and Staffordshire.
The Skills Summit, held at Staffordshire University’s Catalyst Building was an opportunity for businesses to voice their opinions and find common themes among the business community.
Tom Nadin, Head of Projects and Business Services at the Chamber, said: “It was great to have so many businesses join us to discuss the skills challenges that they are facing.
“We noticed some common themes across the county that will support us in creating our local skills improvement plan.
