Businesses in Leek are teaming up to support local families feeling the pinch in difficult times.
Dave Swarbrook and Mark Brammar, from the Foxlowe Arts Centre Creative Hub, are coordinating a gift appeal along with the Fox & Crow Gallery, which is housed in the same building.
Donated presents will be given to an annual appeal at Haregate Community Centre, from where they will be distributed.
The pair also plan to use donated cash to purchase extra gifts from independent retailers in the town.
Dave Swarbrook said: “This is our fourth year of gift donations to the Haregate Community Appeal.
“Unfortunately, the economic outlook is even gloomier this year putting even more pressure on struggling families.
“Businesses and individuals have been incredibly generous in the past with over £1,000 raised last year and as always, we look to beat the previous year’s total.”
Haregate Community Centre Manager Laura Cottingham added: “We have contact through the centre with many families who are barely managing financially due to spiralling prices and inflation.
“We collect gifts for children and young adults each year so that no one feels left out at Christmas.
“We are incredibly grateful to everyone involved to help make Christmas special for so many local families.”
Gift donations can be left at the Fox & Crow Gallery at the Foxlowe Arts Centre, on Market Place.
