Feeling anxious and worrying about finances came out top in a charity’s survey about issues people are experiencing in the run up to Christmas.
Uttoxeter-based Your Emotion Support Service (YESS) is now planning to make more help and information available to people suffering with these issues this festive season.
Development Officer Sarah Pritchard said: “A recent poll on our Facebook page showed that in the run up to Christmas people are feeling anxious, worried about their finances, and the comparisons made between themselves and others.
“We aim to post some relevant content on social media channels addressing these issues in the coming days and weeks prior to Christmas. Many people struggle with their mental health after Christmas too, as often the festive period can be a challenging time, bring up old issues, and creating new ones, therefore YESS are here to offer support.”
YESS has recently joined Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce to help spread the word about its work offering mental health and wellbeing support to people of all ages.
