New jobs for former Wade staff

1 min read

Tableware giant Steelite has given jobs to 22 former Wade Ceramics employees after staging a special recruitment open day.

Around 140 Wade factory and office workers were invited to come along to discuss vacancies at Steelite just days after 155-year-old Wade ceased trading earlier in December.

Interviews took place on the day, job offers were quickly sent out and all the new appointments will start work at Steelite in the New Year.

Steelite HR Director Louise Griffin said: “We’re really pleased to have been able to reach out to former Wade employees and offer jobs where we could.

“Steelite has an unprecedented order book from customers around the world and we welcome the opportunity to bring skilled, experienced people into the factory to join our super team.”
