Businesses and organisations are being urged to participate in an upcoming apprenticeship careers fair, designed to connect local schools with employers in the community.
The fair, organised by Stoke & Staffs Apprenticeship Ambassador Network, will take place on Wednesday 8 February at Port Vale FC between 10:00am and 6:00pm, and is an opportunity for employers to promote their apprenticeship programs to the next generation of workers.
The fair aims to increase awareness about the benefits of apprenticeships and to showcase the different career paths available to students. By participating in the fair, employers will have the opportunity to connect with potential apprentices, and to give the students attending the fair an opportunity to learn about the skills and qualifications that are in demand by employers.
Chris Morris, Learning and Development Manager at IAE and Chair of the Stoke & Staffs Apprenticeship Ambassador Network, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for employers across Stoke-On-Trent and Staffordshire to promote their respective organisations and apprenticeship opportunities.
“So, what better way of promoting the company brand and the types of work you do, by giving young students an insight into your industry, including an understanding of the type of apprenticeships you have on offer and how apprentices can benefit your organisation in the long run.”
The fair is open to all local businesses and organisations, regardless of their size or sector. Employers interested in participating in the fair should contact Isabel Gallimore by Friday 27 January.
