Welcome to the full launch of Daily Focus, an exciting business news service for Staffordshire delivered to tens of thousands of inboxes every weekday morning.
Daily Focus is a joint venture between Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce and creative agency i-creation, whose team of journalists make all the content.
It is delivered by email to businesses in the county, Monday to Friday, by 08:30. We’ve built the biggest daily b2b audience in Staffordshire, which makes Daily Focus the only vehicle to reach businesses, every day, with news of the local and national economy, products, services, events and advice.
The local media landscape has changed so much and continues to change. That’s why we asked local businesses how they wanted to receive local business news. We also asked them what was missing.
They clearly told us a regular, focused, authoritative business news service was important to their business and to our county.
We used December as a technical launch period, testing the water to gauge opinion and garner wider support for the business news service.
We were delighted with the response. Feedback has been excellent and in just a month our reader numbers are better than those of campaigns which have run for years.
Now to herald the New Year, we are back with thousands more businesses in our daily circulation, exciting new content and, of course, daily news direct to your inbox every morning.
Our aim is to provide a daily business news service that’s constructive – challenging where necessary – and which champions our area and its successes.

What Staffordshire needs is energy independence and this can be achieved by building a local. 40MW, biofuel power station using the many hectares of Miscanthus that is grown locally. Look at Brigg or Snetterton which are already working. Have you settled on the Rugeley one yet?
If you refer to BEIS & DEFRA you could probably get funds for a trial as this technology is just becoming practical, not just a grand idea.
