The water company has opened applications for this year’s apprenticeship programme and is looking to take on 130 apprentices across the Midlands.

Roles on offer range from level two intermediate – equivalent to GCSE’s – to level six and seven higher apprenticeships – equivalent to a degree.

Those successful, will gain a hands-on approach to learning, while also earning a salary and are guaranteed a role with the company after successfully passing the programme.

“We’re really proud of the continual growth of our apprenticeship programme, creating opportunities for people in our communities to gain the skills and knowledge that will lead them into a meaningful career,” said Jade Pearson, New Talent Lead at Severn Trent

She added: “We’re really excited about welcoming our next cohort through the doors, and supporting them kick-start their career with us.”

The apprenticeships available include Network & Maintenance Technicians, H&S, Commercial, Customer Service, Cyber Security, Digital Engineering, Environmental Practitioner, HR Consultant, Data Analytics and Business Administration.

Severn Trent serves 4.6 million households and businesses across its region, which includes Staffordshire, and currently has over 200 apprentices in the company.
