Jobs on their way to popular business park

A significant jobs boost is on its way following the completion of another part of a popular business park, which is receiving “high levels” of interest.

The second phase of Tunstall Arrow Business Park, in Stoke-on-Trent, has been finished and sold to property developer 4th Industrial.

It provides 111,400 square foot of industrial and logistics workspace in five units.

The first tenant has already been confirmed as tool and equipment hire firm Speedy Services. Its 21,000 square foot site – Unit 5 – is currently being fitted out.

Sarah Lindsay, Head of Asset Management at 4th Industrial, has told Daily Focus there are a number of companies from the storage and distribution sector and also those with trade counter set-ups similar to Speedy Services interested in the remaining units.

Phase one of the scheme was fully let within three months of completion and is now home to names such as DHL Express, Q-railing and Boels Rental.

Sarah said: “We’re pleased with the high levels of interest we have in the site and are expecting to go under offer with more units by the end of next week.”

David Dunn, Head of Estate Management for Speedy Services, said: “Unit 5 has everything we have been looking for in a significant North West site that will help us serve clients across the Stoke-on-Trent region.

“Becoming a carbon net zero business is core to our strategy and the site’s excellent location and high-quality build that came with an EPC A rating will also help Speedy to recruit and retain the best staff for our new centre.”

The development is supported by Stoke-on-Trent City Council’s Ceramic Valley Enterprise Zone initiative, which aims to bring in 400 jobs.

Stephen Barnes, Managing Director at Network Space Developments, which completed and sold the Sandyford site, said: “We are very proud of the Tunstall Arrow development, now a well-established industrial and logistics location in the heart of the Ceramic Valley.

“We’ve successfully attracted new occupiers to the area, creating jobs and supply side opportunities with more to come as the final units are occupied.”
