A wedding dog chaperone service which featured on Dragons’ Den is going from strength to strength with expansion on the way.
Business has boomed at multi-award winning Precious Pets Weddings since it was featured in a string of TV programmes including This Morning and The One Show.
Media-friendly Ade and Emma Cartlich, joint owners of the Stoke-on-Trent-based company, make it easy for couples to feature their beloved pets on their special day.
“We plan, co-ordinate and take away the stress for the couple so their dog can be part of their wedding,” said Emma, pictured above with Ade.
“Whether they would like their fur baby to be ring bearer, best man, flower girl or attend for an hour or two for the wedding photographs, we are here to make all their wedding dreams a reality.”
In a unique touch, the pooches arrive in style in their own wedding cars decked out in paw print bows and ribbons, and they are dressed in custom-made outfits for the occasion.
One recent bride had lace from the sleeves of her dress cut off to make her dog’s wedding attire.
In their roles as “Secret Chaperones, Multiple Dogs and Ring Bearer Co-ordination” specialists, Emma and Ade also recently made things comfortable for a 110-kilo Central Asian Shepherd dog at Rookery Hall Hotel & Spa.
As an alternative to their Wedding Chaperone Service the couple also offer a Wedding Day Pet Sitting Service.
The Precious Pets Weddings owners are meeting high-profile businessman Theo Paphitis later this month to be presented with their certificate as one of the winners of Theo’s Small Business Sunday competition.
“Media exposure has created a domino effect on our bookings,” said Emma.
“We are set to launch a recruitment campaign for additional chaperones due to the ongoing demand.”
In a special touch for Valentine’s week, she has tweeted out a suggestion that a personalised dog tag and engagement ring could be attached to a collar to enhance a romantic proposal.
