A hot tub firm hopes its new showroom will help with its ambitions to extend further into the outdoor living products market.

Staffordshire Hot Tubs and Swimspas has taken up an almost 4,000 sq. ft unit off Reginald Mitchell Way, in Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent, and plans to open a unique space offering whole-garden solutions under one roof.

The firm, which is currently based in Newcastle-under-Lyme, has been appointed as one of four UK dealers for Europe’s largest hot tub manufacturer Wellis

It is also working with another manufacturer in Wrexham to add luxury buildings and lodges to its portfolio.

And there are hopes of supplying hot tubs and holiday lodges to other businesses.

Managing Director Sam Clews said: “In the holiday let market, there are 10,000 hot tubs purchased per year. Our goal is to take a huge proportion of that over the next two to three years.

“Our new place will bring our showroom and warehouse together, but also offer customers a complete package solution where they can see an exact garden set up and buy it all from us.

“When people are planning their new garden, they typically have to go to several contractors to put everything together but we’ll have it all in one place.”

Staffordshire Hot Tubs and Swim Spas is different to many other suppliers because it keeps a stock of hot tubs which can be delivered within a week rather than put on order to arrive several weeks later.

The company, started by Sam and his brother Jacob, was due to launch just before the Covid pandemic struck but it was September 2021 by the time they opened.

Sam added: “We just missed the boom of people spending lots of money in their gardens because they were at home during lockdown but we are still feeling an impact from that due to people seeing what their friends bought and then wanting a hot tub for themselves.

“Things have got tough with the cost of living crisis and increase in energy prices but we’re always making sure we’re one step ahead with new products to make sure what we offer is energy efficient.”

The new showroom is expected to open in April.
