1 min read

A Burton upon Trent warehouse unit which serves as a freight firm’s UK headquarters has been acquired by St Modwen Logistics

The company has purchased a 318,000 square-foot unit on the Centrum West Logistics Park, occupied by Palletforce. It is located in the heart of the town and close to St Modwen Park Burton as well as good road networks.

The acquisition has taken place alongside another by St Modwen Logistics – a distribution unit just south of Coventry occupied by Palletline

Both deals support the continuing expansion of St Modwen’s logistics platform, which has acquired over one million square-foot of space in the last six months.

Oliver Smith, Senior Investment Manager at St Modwen Logistics, said: “These facilities in Coventry and Burton on Trent present a rare opportunity to acquire prime warehouse units in the logistics ‘golden triangle’ and are part of the wider vital national infrastructure that are fundamental to supply chains.

“Alongside our ongoing development programme, they will meet the strong demand for high quality developments, allowing our customers to run and grow their businesses while helping them achieve their ESG ambitions.

“Both units offer excellent connectivity by road and access to a large logistics workforce, which make them futureproof as distribution hubs and we remain committed to expanding our footprint in the UK’s core logistics locations and are well-placed to capitalise on market opportunities.”
