An award-winning Staffordshire jewellery designer is showcasing her work at one of the most prestigious global events in the industry.

Ellina Pollitt, who won the 2021 Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce Boosting Women in Business programme, has been invited to exhibit at the Autor International contemporary Jewellery Fair 2023

Ellina is a rising star in the jewellery design world, specialising in wearable fashion using different metals to create bold and innovative designs.

Her work has been recognised with numerous awards, including winning the Laser Technology category of the Goldsmiths’ Craft and Design Awards in 2021.

She said: “I am truly honoured to have been invited to exhibit at such a prestigious event.

“My participation in the Boosting Women in Business programme has been instrumental in my success, and I am excited to share my work with designers, buyers, and collectors from around the world at Autor International contemporary Jewellery Fair 2023.”

Originally from Russia, Ellina enrolled on a Staffordshire University degree in 3D Design, specialising in jewellery from which she graduated in 2019. She has gone on to undertake a master’s degree at Birmingham City University’s School of Jewellery.

She was involved in a collaborative project to create the ceremonial mace for Staffordshire University in 2018 and a collection of ceramic butterflies for the Donna Louise Trust in 2019, sold in Trentham Gardens.

Her career aspirations include establishing her own fashion jewellery brand specialising in large scale body adornments. And her collaborative style of approach means that she enjoys working with peers at Staffordshire University, colleagues from local industry, including Staffordshire manufacturer, KMF, and third sector organisations.

Her Bold Collection will be on display at Autor International contemporary Jewellery Fair 2023, an event that brings together the world’s most talented and innovative jewellery designers. This year it takes place in Bucharest on May 6 and 7 and is celebrating its 20th anniversary.
