Sheet metal fabrication company Alpha Manufacturing is celebrating after picking up the title of Manufacturer of the Year.
The Stafford-based company received the title for manufacturers with a latest reported turnover of less than £25m at the Insider Media Made in the Midlands Awards.
This award acknowledges an array of attributes but pays particular attention to the implementation of cutting-edge technologies, streamlined processes and adoption of innovative practices.
Alpha Manufacturing was praised by judges for ticking “all the boxes of what a good SME manufacturer should be.”
Managing Director Paul Clews said: “Our team’s constant commitment, drive and energy make Alpha Manufacturing what it is.
“We have an incredibly skilled workforce which, combined with our state-of-the-art equipment is what sets us apart.
“We constantly strive to improve our operations, maintaining the highest of standards to our customer-base whilst staying ahead of the industry’s latest trends.”
As part of The HEX Group, Alpha Manufacturing is a privately-owned business established in 1989, employing over 190 people.
It unveiled a new state-of-the-art production facility at Beacon Park last September, creating 50 jobs.
Other Staffordshire firms receiving a mention at the awards included Hydrajaws, in Tamworth, which was highly commended in the Export Award category, Lesters Packaging, from Burntwood, which was in the running for Manufacturer of the Year and Briggs of Burton, which was shortlisted in several categories.
