Staffordshire waste management specialist Brown Recycling has announced a series of changes within its senior leadership team to help boost business growth.
Effective from May, Rod Brown will be moving up from his long-running role as managing director to become chairman of the board at the Stoke-on-Trent-based company.
In addition, both Rod’s son, Mitch Brown, and daughter, Dom Brown, will be progressing from their current roles as sales director and compliance director respectively to co-managing directors.
Finally, Andy Howe will be appointed as operations director and join the board of directors, following his promotion from the position of general manager.
The move comes at an exciting time for the company. Daily Focus recently reported that the business has invested £700,000 in green machine technology to accelerate its drive towards Net Zero.
Mitch Brown said: “We’ve always been proud of the way we’ve run the business as a family, and this new leadership change only strengthens that.
“Rod has contributed so much to the company as managing director, we really admire his skills and business acumen, and we hope to channel that as we move into the co-MD position.
“We’re excited for the future and what this change means for the business.”
Rod added, “I’m happy with all the work our team has been doing to get the business to where it is today. As a senior leadership team, we work very well together, and I think this is reflected in the success we’ve had over the years”.
Brown Recycling has strived constantly towards innovation within the waste management sector, especially when it comes to digitalisation and sustainability.
Its online skip booking system enables customers to book and manage their waste disposal needs with just a few clicks.
In addition, Brown’s customer portal provides real-time access to waste management data, making it easy for businesses to track their waste production and environmental performance.
