Local businesses have been quick to support a firm’s inspirational charity campaign in support of breast cancer care.

Strategi Solutions launched a heartfelt fund-raising drive after three women close to their team were diagnosed with the disease.

The Newcastle-under-Lyme-based business management consultants set a target of raising £20,000 for the UHNM Charity, specifically to support breast care at the University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust.

The breast care service has provided treatment for Managing Director Rob’s wife Sue, Chief Executive Officer Wendy Dean’s step-mum Eileen and Office Administrator Jenna’s mum Jill, all pictured above.

“The impact of this felt by the entire business was huge, with everyone coming together with a shared sadness and hope for the future,” said Head of Marketing Erin Hill.

“We pick a charity to support every year and in January it was a no-brainer to choose UHNM Charity.”

The fund-raising campaign leads up to The Big Girl Pants Ball which has been arranged by the Strategi team for 20 October at DoubleTree by Hilton at Festival Park

“Up to now, the support from local businesses has been incredible, buying tables, sponsoring raffle items, donating auction prizes and attending events,” added Erin.

“Luckily, we have an incredible in-house team who have been ‘all hands on deck’ to create and market the fundraiser, with a promise that the evening will be unlike any other charity ball.”

So far 19 tables at the ball have been sold to businesses.

Firms supporting the campaign include WIP Fitness in Newcastle-under-Lyme who are staging a 12-hour fundraising gym event, Harley Skin & Laser Clinic, Pinkstones MG, Vernall & Co and Swann Beauty Aesthetics

The Strategi team members are going the extra mile to fundraise in the run-up to the ball.

Their efforts include a 12-hour exercise marathon at WIP fitness in Newcastle, an Ironman Challenge, a head shave and a Born Survivor challenge.
