Staffordshire’s biggest law firm expects its annual pre-tax profits to jump by 19 per cent to £21.5 million, according to a business update.
Knights, which has more than 200 colleagues based at its office on The Brampton in Newcastle-under-Lyme, has undergone huge growth in recent years and now boasts 23 offices across the country.
In an update to financial markets on Friday, the AIM-listed legal and professional services firm reported a positive picture of growth.
The Group anticipates revenue for the year up to 30 April 2023 to be around £142 million, up 13 per cent on the year before.
The news follows an announcement earlier this month that Knights is set to take over two law firms in the North of England – adding three new offices in Carlisle, Lancaster and Newcastle upon Tyne.
The acquisition of St James Square in Newcastle upon Tyne and Baines Wilson LLP in Carlisle and Lancaster will take Knights to 26 offices nationwide and around 1,500 professionals – strengthening Knights’ position among the Top 50 law firms in the UK.
David Beech, CEO of Knights, said: “Knights has made good progress during the year, delivering on our strategy of selectively making acquisitions, attracting high quality talent, driving operational improvements across the business and strengthening our team of Client Services Directors.
“We enter the new financial year well placed to deliver organic growth from our increased network of integrated regional offices, with positive momentum across the business from new client wins and a strong pipeline of partner hires.”
The news puts Knights in a strong position for further growth and investment in the business as it looks to secure its position as the premium provider of legal and professional services outside London.
The company’s full year reports are due to be published in mid-July.
