Four new business units are set to be built on the outskirts of Stafford – bringing jobs to the area.
Plans have been passed by Stafford Borough Council for the construction of a commercial building on empty land off at the junction of Gell Way and Beacon Way within Beacon Business Park.
Once built, it will be subdivided into four individual units – each with a mezzanine floor – for a flexible use, which includes storage and distribution with trade counter.
The units are expected to be taken on by firms supplying the construction and associated trades.
A condition attached to the planning permission states sale of goods shall be to trade only.
An officer’s report reads: “The proposed flexible use is considered to be acceptable in this location and, provided that the use is restricted by condition it would continue to protect employment and assist in providing an adequate supply and variety of employment uses.”
Beacon Business Park was established in 2004 on a former RAF site and is home to some Staffordshire County Council departments as well as firms including UK Garden Buildings and Tuffnells Parcels Express.
