Former farmers who diversified into milk vending have expanded their business again – just weeks after opening their last venture.
Suzie and Chris Waterfall run The Milk Stop, providing fresh cow and buffalo milk and milkshakes in Seighford, Stafford and Newport.
Daily Focus reported last month that they had turned part of their Stafford unit on Mill Street into The Shake Shak, serving thick, speciality shakes and other treats.
They have now invested in a mobile vending machine and secured a plot at The Trentham Estate, which welcomed its first customers at the weekend.
Visitors will be able to serve their own milk or milkshakes in provided cups or take along their own one-litre bottles to fill.
Suzie said: “We know people love what we do, so we’ve decided to bring it to them rather than them coming to us.
“We’re really excited to be at Trentham and hope there will be high footfall.”
The machine has the capacity to serve 800 litres of milk a day, enough for 1,600 milkshakes for thirsty Trentham visitors.
“90 per cent of our business is milkshakes,” added Suzie. “But the milk – which is sourced from local farms – can also be bought on its own, with buffalo milk having a much creamier taste.
“It is also higher in protein and more digestible for those who can’t tolerate cow’s milk.”
The Milk Stop can be found on the mid walkway between the main car park and Trentham Shopping Village, near Can Do Cocina.
It will be open weekends to start with, unless the machine is in use at a show, but Suzi hopes to extend the opening hours into the week during the school summer holidays.
The machine’s livery has been produced by Stafford-based Premier Grafix.
