A Staffordshire-based chef with years of experience of providing high quality cuisine for prestigious events, is looking to bring fine dining to homes across the Midlands.

Gavin Evans has launched the 2Chefs catering brand with a business plan which includes cooking in customers’ homes and providing “how to” demonstrations for dinner parties.

A renowned chef, Gavin, of Stoke-on-Trent, has more than has 25-years of experience, taking on prestigious roles, including Head Chef for the Formula One British Grand Prix and RHS at Hampton Court, as well as relief Head Chef at a previous Rugby Union World Cup and with the England cricket team.

Now he has established a base at Uttoxeter Golf Club, from where he provides on-site catering, and outside catering for events and special occasions.

Gavin said: “One thing that many people may be unaware of is the opportunity to invite a chef into your home to cook for your family and friends. But, since lockdown, the dinner party has been making a comeback as people often want to provide an occasion at home.

“I took on the onsite catering at Uttoxeter Golf Club in 2022 and that’s proving to be incredibly popular, but 2Chefs has been founded to bring high quality catering to homes and events across the Midlands.”

Gavin will set up in your home kitchen or garden, providing experiences from barbecues to fine dining, for guests.

“I’ll also offer cookery classes for customers, either on an individual basis or as a feature of a party or event. Cooking and baking became a passion for many during the lockdowns and TV programmes, such as Masterchef and the Great British Bake Off are becoming ever more popular.

“I want to pass on tips, help people to discover ingredients, cook a freshly prepared meal and then enjoy it.”

“Menus can range from buffets and Sunday lunches to fine dining, including dishes such as Lobster Thermidor.”

Gavin will also work with venues, such as pubs who don’t generally offer a dining experience by providing pop up restaurants, and recently supported Weal Ales with catering at heir Weal Fest event in North Staffordshire.
