Titanic Brewery’s new bod café bar to open in Lichfield next week – and here’s a sneak peak inside

The opening date of the new bod café bar in Lichfield has been announced.

Titanic Brewery will throw open the doors to its latest venue off Yoxall Way in Streethay on Monday 10 July.

The venture, first reported in Daily Focus in May, has created 30 jobs and is the Stoke-on-Trent firm’s first purpose-built venue, as well as being its first in the town.

The brewery now has eight café bars and eight pubs across Staffordshire and also further afield.

Customers will be able to enjoy everything from coffee and cake to craft beers and wines, with the outlet being open from 8.30am until 11pm every day.

Ingredients for dishes are being sourced from local businesses and suppliers including guest beer from Trinity Brew Co, also in Lichfield.

Jonathan Wright, Head of Retail at Titanic Brewery, said: “We’ve been blown away by just how excited people are about the opening of bod Lichfield.

“It’s been a genuine pleasure chatting to local residents as we get closer to the opening date, and having the opportunity to share with them our vision for this venue to be hub for the local community – a place where people can come to meet, eat, drink and relax throughout the day and into the evening.

“This is Titanic Brewery’s first venue in Lichfield, and we cannot wait to open our doors and welcome everyone.”

The opening of bod Lichfield coincides with the launch of a new look for Titanic Brewery’s range of keg beers, which includes the addition of a brand new lager to the line-up.

Two:20 Lager is brewed with specially selected premium lager yeast and a blend of classic Noble European hops to create a smooth, easy-drinking 4.0% abv Helles lager.

Discussing the reason for this launch, Titanic’s Head of Marketing David Glenwright explained: “For some time we have been asked to add a lager to our core range.

“Following the recent success of our seasonal Vienna cask lager, we decided that now was the right time to perfect and release Titanic’s very first keg lager, and we can’t wait to hear what our customers think of it.”

Two:20 Lager joins Titanic’s three other keg products, which are all receiving a colourful new look: Anytime IPA, Plum Porter, and the newly renamed True Stout.

Titanic has also recently made a £72,000 investment into its brewery in Burslem with a new grain silo aimed at boosting productivity, as reported in Daily Focus here
