Martec Training announces expansion and new jobs to meet demand for motor vehicle experts

1 min read

New positions have been created at Newcastle under Lyme-based apprenticeship and vocational course provider Martec Training to support its continuous growth.

To match increased demand for motor vehicle qualifications, Martec is recruiting for a motor vehicle tutor, a motor vehicle workplace coach and a motor vehicle teaching assistant.

The motor vehicle tutor and workplace coach roles will be responsible for teaching the fundamentals of the maintenance and repair of motor vehicles for students ranging from Entry Level to Level 3. The roles both put a large responsibility on quality assurance of the teachings.

Motor vehicle teaching assistants will work to provide additional support and instruction to students based on conversations and supervision of the lead teacher.

This recruitment drive comes after the increase in demand for some key courses Martec offers. The vehicle-teaching experts also launched a new IMI Vehicle Damage (MET) Technician Apprenticeship at the start of 2023.

The training provider is now looking to increase the number of courses it offers in line with the expansion of its workforce.

Director and CEO at Martec Training, Tracey Marson, said: “We are in an important period of growth at Martec and want to make sure that the courses here give our pupils the chance to thrive in their careers.

“We are looking forward to the hiring process as it means we are moving forward correctly. The demand increase speaks volumes about the vehicle industry, at the moment.

“It is an appealing time to get into the industry with advances in electrical vehicle technology and an increased need for maintenance.”
