The LoveNUL Awards are open to businesses in Newcastle-under-Lyme.

New awards scheme will recognise businesses in Newcastle-under-Lyme

Businesses in Newcastle-under-Lyme have just a few days left to get their entries in for a new awards scheme. 

The LoveNUL Awards have been created by Newcastle-under-Lyme Business Improvement District to celebrate excellence in local businesses. 

There are 15 awards up for grabs across various sectors with customers and suppliers able to nominate businesses as well as owners and employees. 

The closing date for nominations is Friday 4 August, with public voting opening on Friday 11 August. 

The categories are: 

  • Visitor Attraction of the Year 
  • Pub/Bar of the Year 
  • Restaurant of the Year 
  • Café of the Year 
  • Small Retailer of the Year
  • Large Retailer of the Year
  • Professional Services Award
  • Independent Business of the Year
  • Market Trader of the Year
  • Beauty/Personal Care Business of the Year
  • Best New Business Award
  • Service with a Smile Award
  • Community Champion Award
  • Rising Star Award
  • Sustainability Champion Award

To be nominated, businesses must be located within Newcastle-under-Lyme town centre and the outer ring road. 

A shortlist of three businesses for each category will be voted for via a public vote from submitted nominations and these will be invited to a ceremony at Newcastle-under-Lyme Performing Arts College on Friday 15 September when the winners, decided by a judging panel, will be announced.
