Award-winning HR Director, CEO and women’s mentor Wendy Dean has been announced as a finalist at the prestigious National Business Women’s Awards.
Wendy, of business consultancy Strategi Solutions, is one of three shortlisted for the Lifetime Achievement Award which celebrates women who throughout their career have supported and equipped women in their sector to progress and accomplish significant achievements.
She said: “I feel very honoured to have been shortlisted alongside two other amazing finalists.
“I have always worked in traditionally male-dominated industries and it would mean the world to me to win and to be recognised by other women.”
Wendy has been involved in the creation and support of numerous charities and foundations, mostly focused on education, supporting her local community, and the celebration of women in business.
She also recently curated and led a successful personal development event for female business leaders.
Wendy added: “With a passion for sharing my story to guide others on their own path – whether that be as a female in business, an HR professional, or someone just looking for a new outlook on life – I strive to support women to challenge and enhance their attributes, improve their personal and professional life, and achieve their goals.”
Wendy used to be chair of the charity Realise and is currently trying to raise £20,000 for the breast care centre at the University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust with her Strategi team.
The Newcastle-under-Lyme-based business employs 15 people and aims to help businesses perform better.
The awards ceremony takes place in London in November.
