12 months free mentoring and £3k matched-funded investment grant on offer for award winner

Winners of the ‘Most Promising New Start-Up’ category at this year’s East Staffordshire and South Derbyshire Business Awards will receive 12 months of free business mentoring and a £3k match-funded investment grant thanks to a sponsorship package by CMC Business Advisers.

The firm, which has offices in Burton-on-Trent, believes that the package presents an ideal opportunity for a promising start-up business to take its operations to the ‘next level’.

‘Most Promising New Start Up’, sponsored by CMC, is one of 10 categories at this year’s business awards, which are currently open for applications.

Richard Lloyd, Business Adviser at CMC, said: “CMC has been helping ambitious business owners to scale and drive value in their businesses for over 30 years.

“I joined CMC eight years ago to work with firms in Staffordshire and Derbyshire. Part of my portfolio included being a mentor with the Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce ‘Let’s Do Mentoring Scheme’ – enabling me to use my experience and skills to support local companies in need of support and in some small way ‘pay back’ the good fortune of my previous corporate career.

“This support package will offer tangible support for a local business who will also have the momentum of an award win to help drive them forward!”

Businesses can submit a fast and free application for the awards, here.
