Staffordshire radio legend Den Siegertsz returns to airwaves with Churnet Sound

1 min read

Renowned local radio presenter Den Siegertsz is joining Churnet Sound Radio’s Sunday lineup.

Den fell victim to the latest rounds of BBC cuts but will now be back on air in Staffordshire and Cheshire with a new show on volunteer-run station, Churnet Sound Radio.

The new show, sponsored by Povey’s Oatcakes, will be broadcast on DAB every Sunday from noon.

Den said: “After being overlooked by my previous employer who chose freelancers to present and have me on the team making and phone answering duties, it’s good to get back to what I do best.

“There is no obscure modern music or policy to be aware of just top tunes and fun on the radio. I am looking forward to chatting to the listeners with a range of features including celebrity interviews and competitions.

“Let’s do this!”

Churnet Sound’s Board of Directors are ‘thrilled’ to have Den on board, adding that he will bring a wealth of knowledge that he has amassed during 30 years in the industry.

You can listen to Churnet sound online on smartphones, smart speakers, on DAB on the Leek & Congleton Multiplex block 9A or via the website by clicking here.
