A leading business development professional has joined forces with Currie Young Insolvency and Restructuring as part of the firm’s continuing expansion.
The appointment of Nicola Harrop follows a successful 12 months for Newcastle-under-Lyme-based Currie Young with the addition of new offices in Lichfield and Brierley Hill.
Nicola has more than 15 years of experience working in business development in the insolvency services sector and is a familiar presence on the North Staffordshire business networking scene.
Currie Young founder and director Steve Currie said: “We’ve recently added two new offices, establishing a presence in South Staffordshire and the West Midlands and effectively trebling in size.
“With further plans in the pipeline, it’s important to bolster our business development and Nicola is a great fit for Currie Young.
“Nicola will play a vital role in co-ordinating all aspects of Marketing and Business Development activities across the firm and we are delighted to have secured her appointment.”
Nicola said: “I’m excited to be joining the team at Currie Young and believe the company offers a great opportunity to further my career. Their rapid growth is a testament to the exceptional quality of service they deliver.”
Latest Government statistics showed company insolvency rates increased by 30 percent in 2022 and have continued to rise.
Steve said: “New statistics for Quarter 2 of 2023 showed 6,342 in the previous three months, a 13 per cent increase compared to the second quarter of 2022.
“While high profile failures such as Wilko continue to dominate the headlines, there are many more owner managed businesses that are facing the same kind of issues.”
Currie Young was founded by Steve in 2015 and has headquarters in King Street, Newcastle-under-Lyme.
