City of Stoke-on-Trent Sixth Form College took part in the national T Level Celebration Week by highlighting the opportunities offered by its own successful programme.
The aim was to demonstrate the value of the recently-introduced T Level (Technical Level) qualification which provides students with a blend of classroom learning and industry experience to equip them with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed for their future careers.
Throughout the national celebration week from 2 to 6 October the college showcased the diverse range of subjects it offers including Digital, Science, Health, Finance and Education.
Due to increased demand it is also set to offer Legal Services, Management and Administration, as well as Media, Broadcast, and Production from September this year.
Employers were spotlighted during the celebrations to show the significant advantages they gain by employing T Level students, in a mutually beneficial relationship.
Business leaders praised T Level students for their quick adaptability, enthusiasm, and rapid integration into their work environments, making them valuable new recruits.
The College partners with a wide range of organisations to deliver T Levels, from the NHS, to Leek Building Society and Werrington Primary School.
The college used social media to share insightful “day in the life of” videos created by students.
It publicised case studies from results day, highlighting the students’ achievements and showcasing the promising paths T Levels can open for them.
Case studies of first-year students were featured, to celebrate their success in the recent end-of-year exams and outlining their future progression plans.
Assistant Principal at the City of Stoke-on-Trent Sixth Form College Phil McPherson said: “The number of students studying a T Level qualification continues to grow year on year.
“The courses enable students to learn and develop their technical knowledge and skills to the highest level in state-of-the-art facilities at college and on placement with local, regional and national employers.
