Leek Building Society has added another national award to its collection of accolades won this year.
The organisation won the Best Health and Wellbeing Initiative Private Sector category at the prestigious 2023 CIPD Awards.
The awards are the benchmark of excellence in people management and celebrate organisations that prioritise their employees’ welfare.
Leek Building Society also received a high commendation in the Best SME People Management Initiative category.
“At Leek Building Society, our staff, members and local communities are at the heart of everything we do,” said HR Director Rob Longmore.
“Winning the UK’s Best Health and Wellbeing Approach at the 2023 CIPD Awards is a tremendous honour and reflects the dedication we’ve placed on making Leek Building Society a great place to work for our colleagues.
“This recognition is a testament to the incredible work of our staff and the culture of support and growth we’ve fostered.
“These accolades affirm our belief that a positive workplace culture, dedicated to staff welfare, is key to our success.”
Daily Focus has previously reported that staff satisfaction at Leek Building Society stood at 97 per cent.
And in July, the organisation was named the county’s Employer of the Year at the Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce Business Awards.
That award followed two accolades at the British Bank Awards where it brought home the titles of Best Building Society and Best Building Society Savings Provider, as reported in Daily Focus here.
