The National Memorial Arboretum has been named Best UK Attraction for groups for the third consecutive year – beating the likes of Windsor Castle, Longleat and Buckingham Palace.
The prize was clinched at the Group Leisure & Travel Awards, a scheme to recognise the best providers, attractions and destinations for groups, with the winners voted for by readers of Group Leisure & Travel magazine.
Mark Ellis, National Memorial Arboretum Lead, said: “The whole team of staff and volunteers at the Arboretum works incredibly hard together to deliver a world-class experience for all of our visitors, and the fact that the Arboretum has been named Best UK Attraction three years in a row is testament to this.
“Whether enjoying a guided tour with extended family, taking part in Remembrance Sunday commemorations with comrades or enjoying festive food and entertainment with friends, we always try to go the extra mile to make groups feel welcome at the Arboretum.”
The Arboretum, in Alrewas, which offers bespoke packages for groups, is set in 150-acres of gardens and woodlands and is home to over 400 memorials dedicated to those who serve and have served in the Armed Forces, emergency services, and civilian services.
In June, its dedicated events facility, called Aspects, was crowned England’s Business Events Venue of the Year at the Visit England Awards for Excellence, as reported in Daily Focus here.
