A new Government-backed programme called Enterprise in South Staffs is being launched.
The aim is to bring together inspiration and insight so that businesses can thrive.
Levelling Up funding to the tune of £3.8 million has been allocated from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund with an additional £489,391 to support the area’s rural community and business infrastructure.
A comprehensive offer of business support will enhance business development and signpost funding resources.
The programme has been created by South Staffordshire Council in partnership with Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Growth Hub.
It is being launched at the Access Enterprise in South Staffs event featuring a business marketplace at Codsall Community Hub tomorrow, Tuesday October 24.
Councillor Victoria Wilson, South Staffordshire Council Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Business Enterprise and Community Infrastructure, said: “Through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, Enterprise in South Staffs will offer a comprehensive programme of support for businesses in the district.
“It will encourage job creation, signpost businesses to funding opportunities and help strengthen local entrepreneurial ecosystems to drive forward networking and collaborative opportunities.
“The programme will also encourage innovation and help broaden the introduction of energy-efficient, low carbon technologies and techniques.”
