Stoke-on-Trent’s Regent Theatre and Victoria Hall have pledged their support to a local charity, with World Mental Health Day marking the start of their partnership.

Staff from the two venues will be working together to raise funds for and awareness of North Staffs Mind as it becomes their charity of the year.

The partnership will allow the provision of mental health training for Regent Theatre and Victoria Hall staff and support for the wellness of all teams.

Both venues will also provide space for the charity to raise money and awareness in their foyers.

Theatre Director Frazer Hoyle said: “We’re really excited for this partnership with North Staffs Mind.

“Mental health is a cause that is very important to all our staff at the Regent Theatre and Victoria Hall and we’re so happy that we can help to raise funds and support this amazing local charity and the vital work that they do in our communities.”

North Staffs Mind provides advice and support to anyone experiencing a mental health problem, and has launched a brand-new website today 10 October, as a joint celebration of the new partnership and World Mental Health Day.

Steve Channon, Income and Engagement Lead at North Staffs Mind, said: “We are so excited by the potential of this partnership.

“We are an independent charity and are totally reliant on our own fundraising.  The support of The Ambassador Group locally, will provide us with the platform we need to promote our cause and the work we do to the widest possible audience, literally!”

Both venues are operated by the Ambassador Theatre Group.
