Businesses in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent can discover opportunities to supply or buy from others locally at the launch event of a new platform this month.
FinditinStoke&Staffs will provide businesses with access to supply chain opportunities, information on business support programmes and funding, news and a range of events across different sectors.
Its free Meet the Buyer launch event will be held at Aston Marina, Stone, on Thursday November 23 from 9am. It’s open to all SMEs and larger public and private sector organisations from the county and city.
People can find out more and book a place at the event webpage.
This month’s launch event will feature opportunities being created by the West Midlands Interchange development in South Staffordshire.
The development will offer logistics facilities at the site which lies north of the M54 and between the M6 and A449.
It could create up to 8,500 jobs and will include two new country parks. The appointed contractor Winvic Construction will be attending the event.
Attendees can also speak to featured buyer, construction firm Speller Metcalfe, in addition to regeneration and energy company Equans and property developer Lovells Partnerships.
There will be presentations from Staffordshire County Council, Stafford Borough Council and Cannock Chase Council, a networking breakfast and free introductory membership to FinditinStoke&Staffs.
FinditinStoke&Staffs is commissioned by The Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Growth Hub.
Staffordshire County Council’s deputy leader and cabinet member for economy and skills Philip White said: “The Meet the Buyer event will be a perfect launch for FinditinStoke&Staffs – enabling businesses to find out how the network can support them at the first opportunity.
“With so many exciting developments taking place across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent, this platform can provide a connection for suppliers and buyers and we hope establish longer-term commercial relationships.
“We’d urge people to come along, take advantage of the free membership offer and ensure our economic growth success continues.”
