Specialist materials solutions company Lucideon has created a new Director of Programmes role to strengthen its market-leading position across the globe.

Dr Gilda Gasparini will be directing Staffordshire-based Lucideon’s expanding catalogue of work with national and international clients, Government agencies, universities, and specialist research groups.

A development and commercialisation organisation (DCO) specialising in materials technology, processes, and testing, Lucideon’s expertise is being increasingly called upon around the world to help navigate key challenges, including Net Zero, green energy, healthcare innovations, and space travel.

The company has also increased its ability to put materials innovation on the fast-track for aerospace, defence, healthcare and nuclear clients through its access to the new AMRICC Centre.

The Stone-based state-of-the-art facility has been developed to channel new routes to commercialisation in the advanced ceramics sector that it hosts and manages on behalf of its members. Dr Gasparini’s remit includes overseeing projects undertaken in the facility.

Tony Kinsella, CEO Lucideon, said: “Gilda takes up the new role at an exciting time in our business as we focus on making the world a materially better place.

“We are working on a wide breadth of programmes to tackle the material challenges in performance, energy demands and cost, which are encountered with the rapid advance of technology.

“As the Director of Programmes, Gilda will bring reassurance that our activities across the Lucideon Group will benefit from exceptional leadership, robust processes, planning, and governance, to deliver the best outcomes.”

Dr Gasparini, a Chartered Chemical Engineer specialising in product development, technology commercialisation and multi-skill collaborations, has worked at Lucideon for almost eight years and has been promoted to the new position from a programme management role.

She said: “This is an exciting opportunity for the company and for me personally, reflecting the growth in programmes being delivered within the AMRICC Centre.

“It will bring real impact both for our partner and clients and for the Lucideon Group.

“I look forward to working together with the great talents across the Delivery and Operations teams.”
