A private wealth solicitor has been recognised for her high levels of expertise in trusts and estates taxation.

Abigail Pritchard, of Stoke-on-Trent-headquartered Beswicks Legal, has achieved a Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) advanced certificate in Taxation of Trusts and Estates (England and Wales) – the benchmark professional qualification in this area of law.

Abbie undertook many months of study followed by an exam to gain the qualification, during which time she had to demonstrate a high level of technical knowledge on capital gains tax and inheritance tax.

She said: “The knowledge that I have gained through studying for the STEP exams is immensely useful in practice.

“Taxation in relation to trusts and estates can be complicated, so it is particularly pleasing to obtain a merit in this qualification in recognition of my expertise and understanding in this area.”

Beswicks’ Group Operations Director Ryan Yates added: “Congratulations to Abbie for being awarded this qualification – a fantastic achievement and extremely well deserved.

“Taxation of trusts and estates can be very complex and Abbie deserves the recognition for her expertise in this area.”
