A growing independent business is looking to expand its headquarters with a new, two-storey office building.
T&C Site Services, an independent earthmover and off-the-road tyre specialist, is seeking planning permission from Stoke-on-Trent City Council for the development of its base in Garner Street, Etruria.
Under the plans, current portacabin offices at Etruria House will be removed and an ancillary office building will be erected, creating 62 m² space on each floor, along with eight car parking spaces.
The new office facility would include a mixture of open-plan office space, private office space, a training room and related staff facilities.
According to the planning application, the investment could also see the number of employees on the site rise.
A design and access statement submitted with the plans reads: “The current office building is on Garner Street and provides offices, meeting rooms and staff facilities.
“The company also has temporary offices on the site, and the company have out grown this temporary offices and therefore, require additional space for offices, training rooms and staff amenities.”
It adds: “The existing office is cold and is in poor working conditions for the staff and the client would like to provide a nicer working environment for the staff being a local growing business.”
A decision on whether to grant planning permission is expected to be made by council officers using delegated powers in the next few weeks.
