£450,000 equipment boost for Staffordshire sheet metal fabricators

1 min read

Staffordshire-based Alpha Manufacturing has made a £450,000 investment in state-of-the-art machinery that will boost its sheet metal fabrication and production capability.

The purchase of the cutting-edge Trumpf TruBend 5170S by the family-owned company – which is part of the HEX Group – will also contribute to quality, innovation and environmental sustainability.

The machine minimises the need for manual handling and its support arm can handle parts weighing up to 100kg, enhancing efficiency and capacity.

An offline programming function also provides opportunities to increase machine uptime and overall output.

Paul Clews, Managing Director at Alpha Manufacturing, based in Hixon, said: “The Trumpf TruBend 5170S represents a significant step forward for Alpha Manufacturing, allowing us to deliver even higher quality products while aligning with our environmental goals.

“This investment reinforces our commitment to providing the best for our customers, our team, and the planet.”

Gerry Jones, Sales Director at TRUMPF, added: “Alpha manufacturing are a key customer in the UK and a forerunner in terms of technical capability, the TruBend 5170 S strengthens their position.

We look forward to working with Alpha Manufacturing and supporting their exciting progress.”

The machine’s key features include automatic controlled bending – for greater precision and quality in the manufacturing process, and 3D programme folding – enhancing visual management and further streamlining production.

Alpha Manufacturing is an award-winning company that has been serving a range of industries since 1989 offering sheet metal fabrication, metal design and integrated engineering services.
