Winning the “Employer of the Year” title at the Staffordshire Chambers Business Awards has energised employees and acknowledged a strong workplace culture, according to Leek Building Society.

Named Employer of the Year 2023, the leading financial services provider says that the win recognises their strong employee-focused approach that makes a positive impact on the lives of their workforce.

Lizzie Hall, Head of HR, said: “Leek Building Society were incredibly honoured to be awarded Staffordshire’s Employer of the Year at last year’s award ceremony.

“People are our greatest asset and we’ve invested in our benefits, wellbeing, premises, processes and systems just to name a few areas where we have recently made a positive impact on the lives of our staff.”

Businesses have until Friday, 22 March to submit a free application for the 2024 Staffordshire Chambers Business Awards ahead of the gala awards ceremony which returns to the DoubleTree by Hilton on 4 July.

Lizzie added: “Being recognised as an employer of choice within our local community brings us all a great deal of pride, and acknowledges the fantastic employee proposition we have.

“The awards evening was a memorable night celebrating exceptional businesses from across Staffordshire who are making a real difference to their staff and to the local communities they serve.”
