Businesses have been invited to a free event explaining how they can save money and energy.

The online session organised by Staffordshire Business & Environment Network (sben) and Staffordshire County Council will outline what support businesses can access through the council’s Green Solutions programme.

There will be information about free business energy assessments and what businesses can get when applying for a Low Carbon Grant as well as details about free carbon literacy training.

The event takes place on Microsoft Teams between 12.30pm and 1.30pm on Wednesday, 24 April.

Those in attendance will also be given the opportunity to ask questions and hear recent case studies.

Last month, Daily Focus reported that furniture restoration and manufacturing company Taylor’s Classic Furniture, based in Stafford, is making savings in the region of £35,000 a year thanks to Green Solutions. The firm received a grant which was used to install solar panels to reduce energy consumption, described by Warehouse and Sustainability Manager Richard Forrester as “hugely beneficial.”
