Heather climbs career ladder to be appointed partner at Bowcock & Pursaill as firm gears up for growth

Staffordshire-based solicitor Bowcock & Pursaill has appointed Heather Reynolds as the latest partner at the firm.

Heather joined the solicitors more than 14 years ago starting out as Office Assistant before climbing the career ladder.

Her appointment coincides with the comany’s push to attract talented professionals back to the county.

The law firm, which has four offices across Staffordshire, is planning to grow it’s team by 10 per cent in 2024, enabling it to expand its portfolio of clients in the local area.

Heather became interested in training as a solicitor and started working her way up the ranks. She progressed to Receptionist first before becoming a legal secretary at the firm aged 21.

She enrolled at Staffordshire University to study law in the evenings and when she graduated was offered a Trainee Solicitor placement with Bowcock & Pursaill Partners Tim Wolley, Catherine Whittles and Emma Amat.

She added: “I worked full time at Bowcock & Pursaill whilst studying at Staffordshire University. I had a lot of support from the solicitors and partners, and naturally fell into property thanks to working with Tom and Emma.”

She qualified in February 2016 and immediately joined the residential department as a Solicitor. Subsequently, she was offered the Associate position and has now fulfilled that role to become a Partner at the firm.

In addition to Heather’s day-to-day work, she provides support to the corporate department advising on the property aspects of company share sales and business asset sales.

Catherine Whittles said: “I interviewed Heather and she’s come such a long way. We’re incredibly proud that we’ve been able to support her career development in such an extraordinary way and she thoroughly deserves the recognition of Partner.”

Heather, who specialises in both residential and commercial property, added: “I really hope to continue the good work I’m proud of at Bowcock & Pursaill. It’s a fantastic firm to work for and I am living proof that career progression is a priority here.”

Partners at Bowcock & Pursaill are interested in speaking to candidates who may have worked in some of the larger surrounding cities, such as Birmingham and Manchester, who want to bring their experience to the area.

Catherine added: “We can’t stress enough that our solicitors have excellent opportunities at Bowcock & Pursaill and Heather is proof that you don’t have to go to London, Manchester or Birmingham to have fruitful careers.”
