Alpha Manufacturing has been named a finalist for the Manufacturer of the Year category at the 2024 Staffordshire Chambers Business Awards.
This category, sponsored by Lexus Stoke, celebrates excellence and innovation in the manufacturing sector.
In 2022, Alpha Manufacturing officially opened a state-of-the-art facility, Alpha Manufacturing Chemical Technologies, at Beacon Park, Stafford. This purpose-built site supports high-precision engineering and manufacturing processes for global chemical suppliers. Housing some of the world’s most advanced machinery, their new facility has already grown to employ 50 staff members within its first year of operation.
Their latest brand, HEX Living, specialising in premium outdoor furniture and storage solutions, has seen tremendous growth over the past year. Now featured in 65 garden centres across the UK, HEX Living is set to launch a new range of outdoor cooking equipment, including a full outdoor kitchen..
Alpha Manufacturing is committed to becoming carbon neutral by 2037. In 2022, they installed solar panels covering 3,570.5m² at their Hixon facility, generating sufficient energy to power the factory. By converting their fleet to electric forklifts, they’ve significantly improved air quality and provided state-of-the-art equipment for their staff members.
Alpha Manufacturing launched their accredited apprenticeship scheme in 2010, and hired a dedicated apprenticeship coordinator to provide personalised guidance for their staff members. Their ongoing recruitment and specialised leadership training programmes has helped to retain staff, develop team leaders and equip future leaders with essential skills to maximize their potential.
The winner of the award will be announced at the highly-anticipated Gala Awards evening, taking place on Thursday, 4 July at the Doubletree by Hilton, Festival Park.
