Aston Marina named finalist in Hospitality, Leisure, and Tourism category at Staffordshire Chambers Business Awards

Aston Marina has been chosen as a finalist for the Hospitality, Leisure, and Tourism Award at the Staffordshire Chambers Business Awards.

This brand new category for 2024, sponsored by KPI Recruiting, recognises businesses that excel in providing exceptional services in the hospitality, leisure, and tourism sectors.

Set in 42 acres of picturesque pastureland, Aston Marina operates a 200-berth narrowboat marina, renowned as one of the best inland marinas in the UK, with an impressive 99% occupancy rate since 2019,

No.26, Aston Marina’s premium dining restaurant, attracts clientele from Staffordshire and beyond with its high-quality, locally sourced ingredients. The restaurant supports local producers, including Wells Farm Dairy, Dunwood Farm, and Staffordshire Cheese Company. The restaurant has also embraced sustainability by installing an air source heat pump and an induction cookline, significantly improving energy efficiency

In 2015 Aston Marina opened their event space, The Boat House, and their smaller event venue The Hideaway, added in 2020. These venues host a variety of events, from comedy nights to weddings and community events supporting local causes.

In 2023, Aston Marina donated over £5,000 to local charities and hosted numerous community events. The company also collaborates with local schools and Staffordshire University, offering work experience placements and apprenticeships, and engaging in educational visits.

The winner of the award will be announced at the highly-anticipated Gala Awards evening, taking place on Thursday, 4 July at the Doubletree by Hilton, Festival Park.
