A subsidiary of leading energy storage firm GivEnergy is partnering with Keele University to develop an enhanced learning tool for the increasingly digital classroom.
GivEducation is working on delivering an AI-enriched software solution that will transform the learning experience.
The product will provide tailored resources to students based on their individual needs and learning styles.
Teachers will be able to effortlessly personalise lessons to each of their students, reducing workload.
GivEducation has secured a two-year contract with Keele University to deliver the first-of-its-kind edtech project.
The agreement extends an existing partnership between both parties, after the promising completion of an initial 12-month R&D window.
Joe Basketts, Education Director at GivEducation, said: “What we’re doing here with Keele University is a truly ‘sui generis’ project.
“GivEducation has a concept that will transform the learning experience for students, teachers, and schools across the UK.
“With the weight of Keele University behind us, we’ll be able to develop this technology based on an extensive research project with a rich evidence base and support from a world-renowned public research university.”
Theocharis Kyriacou, Reader in Computer Science at Keele University and the academic lead for the project said: “We are delighted to work alongside the GivEducation team to support the development of such a seminal edtech product.
“World-class research is embedded deep in our culture here at Keele University, and we believe this solution to have far-reaching potential in the education sector.
“So, it is with great excitement that we look to the next two years of development.”
The project involves state-of-the-art text analysis and machine learning while also requiring deep educational sector expertise.
