Staffordshire Moorlands based Hewitt & Carr Group has been named a finalist for the Small Business of the Year Award at the Staffordshire Chambers Business Awards. This category is proudly sponsored by Sempar Accountancy and Tax.
The Hewitt & Carr Group, based in Cheadle, encompasses three thriving businesses: Hewitt & Carr Architects, Hewitt & Carr Services, and Hewitt & Carr Developments. 2023 has been a remarkable year for each of these businesses, with the Group breaking through the £1 million turnover mark and setting ambitious plans to double this figure over the next three years.
The group’s success is attributed to strong leadership, teamwork, and a commitment to staff development and community engagement. To reward their team’s hard work, each member received an extra day’s annual leave.
The group invests heavily in learning and development, providing career progression opportunities and collaborating with Staffordshire University for graduate recruitment.
Natalie Hewitt’s involvement in the Community Foundation board has helped raise funds, benefiting 31 groups and around 16,860 people in the Staffordshire Moorlands.
The winner of the award will be announced at the highly-anticipated Gala Awards evening, taking place on Thursday, 4 July at the Doubletree by Hilton, Festival Park.
