Jasmine Pugh from Jonathan Cornes Associates has been selected as a finalist for the Learning and Development Award at the 2024 Staffordshire Chambers Business Awards.

This category is proudly sponsored by Genr8.

Currently in her fourth year of a Building Surveying Apprenticeship at the University of Salford, Jasmine has demonstrated a proactive approach to her career by seeking out a placement at Jonathan Cornes Associates Ltd.

Jasmine’s achievements go beyond her academic and professional responsibilities. Recognising the importance of networking and professional support, she started a knowledge share/training group for young professionals in the construction industry in Staffordshire, addressing the lack of RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) support in the area. This group, now in its third month, has already grown to include eight young professionals on a similar pathway to obtaining their APC (Assessment of Professional Competence).

Jasmine is committed to her professional growth, balancing four days of work each week with her university studies and her APC pathway. Additionally, Jasmine actively seeks out and attends sector-relevant CPD events to stay updated on the latest regulations and solutions available in the market.

Jasmine’s willingness to take initiative, seek out new challenges, and continuously improve herself sets her apart from her peers. She excels in her studies and work, supports her colleagues, and promotes the apprenticeship route to others.

The winner of the award will be announced at the highly-anticipated Gala Awards evening, taking place on Thursday, 4 July at the Doubletree by Hilton, Festival Park.
