Tech firm celebrates bumper year reaching £5m turnover and eyes further growth

2 mins read

A Stoke-on-Trent-based technology company celebrating its 18th birthday has broken through the £5 million turnover mark for the first time – and aims to double the figure within the next five years.

Fifteen Group, which specialises in IT, communications, software development and fire and security systems, is celebrating the milestone whilst also planning a £500,000 move to bigger, better premises in Hanley later this year.

And growth in the business is continuing with the launch of a new digital signage brand called Signatech Group and securing further big-name clients to add to its portfolio over the last 18 months.

Director Ian Walker said: “We pride ourselves on our customer focussed approach. We offer a range of services and products but understand the franchises we work with all have different requirements and we shape our services around them to ensure they get exactly what they needed to the highest of standards.

“Our continued and sustained growth is not only down to that approach but also down to the hard work and dedication of our team whose skills and expertise are second to none.”

He added: “The last 12 months have been fantastic for us – to have our highest turnover in the year we celebrate our 18th birthday is a great achievement.

“We’ve had some brilliant client wins and are looking to strengthen our market position with the retail sector to help us grow further.”

Founded in 2006 and currently based at Park Hall Business Village, in Longton, Fifteen Group supplies several international retail brands including Costa, Taco Bell, Dunkin and KFC but has been focussing on working in the retail sector.

That has seen the firm win a contract with up-and-coming bakers Wenzels, based in the Southeast, which has ambitious plans to become as big as Greggs

Fifteen Group has added nationwide gym chain Jetts to its client list this year and works locally for the likes of Parogon Group, Bear Coffee, DPC Accountants and Acacia Training

The company, which has 50 employees and plans to recruit further, is reviewing site options in Hanley in order to move to a more central base for its growing team.

As part of the firm’s growth strategy plans the senior management team have all undergone Sandler Leadership by Organisational Excellence training.

Ian said: “To grow the business, it’s important that we take our staff with us on the journey so that they understand what we want to achieve and how we are going to achieve it.

“The Sandler training really helped us set the tone for our direction of travel by laying down the foundations to provide a great culture throughout the whole of the business. Our main focus now is to continue on our upwards trajectory and to achieve a £10 million turnover within the next five years.

“It’s an exciting time for Fifteen Group – we are adding to our client base all the time, widening our geographical reach and are looking forward to moving into new premises later this year. It will be a brand-new start for us and I am sure will be a catalyst for further growth in the future.”
