Don-Bur has made a further investment at one of its sites, spending £100,000 on a new spray booth.

The custom manufacturer of trailers and rigid bodywork hopes the new spray booth at its Clarence Road site in Stoke-on-Trent will significantly increase its capacity for paint spraying.

This should allow the firm to meet the growing demand for trailer refurbishments more effectively.

Chris Griffiths, Service Director at Don-Bur, which is based in Longton, said: “Our new spray booth is a game-changer for us.

“It enables us to handle a larger volume of work and deliver top-quality finishes more rapidly.

“This investment reflects our dedication to staying at the forefront of the industry and providing exceptional service to our customers.”

The Clarence Road site is one of two of Don-Bur’s major after-sales sites dedicated to HGV repairs, servicing, MOTs and refurbishments.

The arrival of the new spray booth comes after Daily Focus recently reported that the company had invested £300,000 in solar panel installations across three of its key sites.

Don-Bur plans to use 95 per cent of the electricity produced by the solar panels for its own operations, with only five per cent being returned to the national grid.

The firm employs 550 people and enjoyed a record year in the 12 months to 30 September 2023, with pre-tax profits rising 87 per cent to £9.9 million and turnover up 23 per cent to £85.1 million. Click here to read that story.
