Black business owners and leaders in Staffordshire are invited to an event celebrating their contributions to the region.
Staffordshire Black Business Network’s recognition event – part of Black History Month – will take place on Thursday, October 10, from 6:30pm to 9pm at Keele University.
The recently elected MP for Newcastle, Adam Jogee, and Keele’s Vice-Chancellor, Trevor McMillan OBE, will be the guests of honour at the event, which will also see a presentation by Dr Tolu Olarewaju, of Keele Business School, on his research into BAME business resilience.
Black leaders can nominate a business – including their own – for recognition at the event, which is hosted by Staffordshire Black Business Network (SBBN), Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce and Keele Business School.
SBBN is a support network that acts as a voice of minority Black-owned businesses in the Staffordshire area. It is free to become a member and any business owner, regardless of ethnicity, can join.
Register here for the event, which will take place in Keele Business School’s Denise Coates Foundation building. The dress code is formal or African attire.
