Businesses in Tamworth have been invited to a free netwalking event to learn more about the town’s regeneration projects.

Tamworth Borough Council has teamed up with Digital Islands Business Services for the free tour on Monday, 4 November.

The council’s future high street regeneration team will give an update on progress made since a similar event last year and the tour will cover the major regeneration developments currently undertaken through the government funded Future High Street Fund project.

It will feature areas such as the new Tamworth Enterprise Centre, St Editha’s Square redevelopments and the new college development there, Middle Entry renovations and space for new businesses.

Councillor Nova Arkney, Portfolio Holder for infrastructure, heritage and local economy said: “As we take steps forward with the regeneration of our town centre, it is one of mine and fellow cabinet members’ key priorities to engage regularly with our local businesses and hear their feedback about our regeneration ambitions.

“I want to thank our regeneration team for their hard work in getting us to this point; it’s so good to see the plans taking shape to transform our town to become a place where visitors and businesses can thrive.”
