One of the most decorated cyclists in history is set to join Staffordshire businesses at the county’s biggest annual business expo next week.
Three-time Olympic gold medalist Ed Clancy OBE will offer a unique insight into all things leadership, resilience and peak performance when he steps up to the stage at Let’s Do Business 2024.
And tickets for the event, which takes place at Uttoxeter Racecourse next Thursday, 10 October, are free to book via the Staffordshire Chambers website.
Ed is renowned for his remarkable success in the Team Pursuit event, where he secured gold at the 2008, 2012 and 2016 Olympics. Throughout his career, he also earned six World Championship titles and multiple European medals, establishing himself as one of the sport’s most accomplished athletes.
Rachel Laver, Staffordshire Chambers CEO, said: “We’re delighted to have been able to confirm Ed Clancy as our next keynote speaker for Let’s Do Business 2024.
“Ed has a profound understanding of leadership and the mental fortitude required to succeed at the highest level – and I’m really looking forward to hearing his unique perspectives.
“We’ve had unprecedented levels of interest in our stands and delegate tickets this year so I would encourage you to book your spaces now, if you’ve not done so already!”
Ed has also given an exclusive interview to Staffordshire Chambers’ new Feature Focus broadsheet, where he has revealed that winning a gold medal was “not quite what I expected”. The publication will be released to coincide with Let’s Do Business and will be available to read on the day.
Joining Ed will be Stoke City FC Sporting Director, Jon Walters, who will share his own experiences from the football pitch and the boardroom. Jon’s session will focus on leadership and cultivating winning cultures, offering businesses a unique perspective on effective strategies for success.
Over 1,000 Staffordshire businesses are expected to be in attendance on the day. Book your free delegate ticket, here.
